Such a rough patch brought her a great opportunity. The producers and directors of Titanic invited her to star in the film. Reba was very excited to accept the offer knowing that she would portray one of the lead roles in the movie, Margaret Brown. However, when she checked her schedule, she literally had no time to attend the filming of the 1997 blockbuster film. It was a very bitter moment because no matter how she wanted to play the role, she had to say no.

Well, with her rejection, the producers and directors had no other choice, but to find another actress that would fit in the role. They eventually found Kathy Bates – choosing the actress was a great decision because her performance in the film was spectacular. That just proved that everything truly happens for a reason – even without Reba, Titanic managed to be a blockbuster hit all over the world!
