Her Real Big Break
Seven years after her debut, she finally got the chance to have a song that dominated the music charts. That song came from her fifth album which was titled Unlimited. However, after her big break, she revealed that she was already unhappy with the treatment she was getting from Mercury Records. That got her to end her contract and make a deal with MCA Nashville Records. One specific thing that she mentioned about Mercury Records was the fact that they pushed her to record a song that was way out of her chosen genre. She thought that it was a wake-up call for her to look for a new company that would manage her well.
At Long Last
A few months after she started working with MCA Nashville Records, she released a new album that had the title My Kind of Country. A couple of songs that were in that album reached the top of the Billboard music chart. With that outcome, Reba was very glad knowing that people were already starting to get to know and love her music little by little. That just proved that patience really is a virtue – Reba had her big break years after her debut. For all the people who are still waiting for their success, never give up because when the timing is already right, success would eventually come for you.
