Everything Was Set
As he had expected, the guard on the Tuesday shift just lazily stood by in front of the entrance of the bus. Walter Miller had been prepared and he took everything in his locker with him. He wore the civilian clothes that he was provided with for the radio broadcast under his prison uniform.

Walter went to the end of the bus just right next to the emergency exit. He recalled what happened on the day he made his escape. He said, “As we slowed down for a stop, I swung open the back door — and I was gone.” He had finally done it again.
