Allen received $30,000 for being a surrogate along with payments for other additional expenses. When they discovered she was having twins, the couple added $5,000 to her monthly payments. Things were going very well until her due date.

Something Was Off About The Babies
After 38 weeks of pregnancy, Allen went under a cesarean operation on December 12, 2016. The twin babies were successfully delivered although she was not able to see them because of the opaque screen that separated them. They were immediately taken away after delivery, but she was able to take a look at the twins that night when she was resting. The mother visited her room and showed a photo of the twin babies. Allen told People, “One looked full Chinese, the other didn’t look full Chinese. It was clear that they were not identical… but I didn’t ask questions.”
