Craftsman
You are going to find Craftsman tools in Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, Sears, and anywhere else that offers home improvement tools. There are Craftsman factories in the United States, but it outsources manufacturing to China and Taiwan as well. It is now owned by Sears, which decided to bring the production overseas. A different tool company called Western Forge has a deal with Craftsman too. This company makes its products in the United States. This means that the production of Craftsman items is divided between Asia and America.
Weber Grills
The Weber-Stephen Products is behind the famous Weber grills! This iconic kitchen product was introduced in 1893 back when Weber used to go by Weber Bros. Metal Works. In those days, it was a round kettle grill that needed charcoal to work. George Stephen, the owner of a sheet metal factory in Chicago, came up with this while improvising the grill at his house. The metal sheets were used as buoys until they were repurposed and sold as a half-sphere grill! His neighbors called the product “Sputnik.” It got so big that he decided to start a company for it. The company is based in Palatine, Illinois.
