Courtney knew something was up with the police officer that she did not recognize. However, she shrugged the idea and went on to take his order, just like what she usually does with the other customers. Once she was able to approach him, it got stranger from there.

Courtney was not a selfish mother. She wanted her ex to be involved with their baby’s life; that’s why she was getting all worried that her ex had still not contacted her after they broke up. They did not really end on good terms, making the situation harder for her and her baby.
