It seemed like the whole neighborhood’s prayers were answered – Smoochie gave birth and all of her children survived. The dog’s owners were very happy that nothing dangerous happened to Smoochie and her babies. However, despite the very good news, there was a huge turning point in Smoochie’s pregnancy story.

It turned out that Smoochie was way too young to embrace motherhood. Even though she managed to deliver a bunch of healthy puppies, she was still not prepared to be a mother to all of her children. Days after she gave birth, she did not show any interest in taking care of her children at all. She lived as if her babies were not with her.
