Sealed Shut
The trapdoor in the kitchen was nailed shut with dozens of thick nails for some strange reason. It was also glued shut with some kind of industrial-strength adhesive, which was strange. Tony summoned a repairman to investigate, and even he was taken aback. They finally broke it open after much cursing and heaving. Then they were hit with the smell.

A Foul Stench
The odor from inside the door was enough to make them recoil and gag. Whatever it was, it was enough to make Tony want to vomit all over himself. What could have caused such a foul odor down there? It reeked as if… No, it’s not true. It’s not possible. Tony couldn’t help but remember the previous owner’s recently deceased wife.
