Aardvark JSFU Mark 4

Unique among military vehicles is the Aardvark JSFU Mark 4. This isn’t built for battle so much as active defense, and more specifically, landmine detection. The vehicle “uses a flailing system, which is primarily a roller that spins large chains at high speed,” while the driver and the member of the crew in charge of managing the flailing system as well as electronic depth-contouring system are protected by a plow-like structure and a double-skinned cabin with armored glass. The Aardvark has been utilized for landmine clearance by military and humanitarian groups around the world, including by British and American forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
